Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing elderly man suffering from dementia and other medical conditions.
Seventy-year-old John Cook was last seen at 3:15 pm yesterday at his care home near East 22nd Avenue and Renfrew Street.
Mr. Cook is described as white, 5’07” tall, 170 lbs, with blue eyes and grey hair. He was wearing blue jeans, brown shoes, a long sleeve sky blue shirt with a Grouse mountain T-shirt underneath and a black fleece jacket.
John will continue to walk until he tires and will not be able to find his way back to his residence.
Anyone who sees John Cook is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately, ask for police and ambulance and keep an eye on him until officers arrive. Do not approach him as it is unknown how he will react to a stranger.
