Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing elderly woman.

Eighty-five-year-old Rufina Tablan left her home near East 6th Avenue and Fraser Street at 9:00 a.m. this morning and has not been heard from since. Rufina requires medication daily and suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Ms. Tablan is described as Asian, 4’10” tall, 100 lbs with dark greying hair and wears glasses. It is unknown what she was last wearing, but usually carries a black and white purse, has a lanyard with family contact information and uses a red walker with a basket.

A search of the area around her home, along with checks of local hospitals, cab companies, transit, and other police agencies, have failed to turn up any sign of the missing woman.

Anyone who sees Rufina Tablan is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately, ask for police and ambulance, and stay with her until officers arrive.

Vancouver Police are searching for a missing 74-year-old man with Dementia.

Gerald Lewis left his home on East 40th Avenue near Nanaimo Street on the morning of September 2nd.

Around 4 p.m., Gerald was seen with his wife in the area of Nanaimo Street and East 44th Avenue.

Gerald Lewis has not been seen since.

Gerald is Aboriginal, 5’4″ tall, has a medium build, grey ear-length hair, and a white goatee. He was wearing a black and grey zip-up sweater, brown pants, and a black fedora-style hat. He was possibly carrying a black backpack.

Anyone who sees Gerald Lewis is asked to call 9-1-1.

On Wednesday August 10th, 2016 Delta Police responded to a report of a missing person and initiated an investigation in an attempt to locate Frederick CHESTER. Frederick was last seen in Ladner around 6:00 p.m. on August 10th and had told a friend he was going to visit family in Mission, but has not been seen since.

Police are concerned about Frederick’s whereabouts, as he has a history of dementia. Frederick has no access to a vehicle and is known to walk or take transit. He doesn’t have a cell phone and did not take any personal belongings with him.

To date, traditional methods to locate Frederick CHESTER have not been successful and the Delta Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.

Description of Frederick Chester:

67 years old, Caucasian, 5’10”, grey hair, with a heavy build. No clothing description known.

Should anyone locate a male matching the description or know the whereabouts of Frederick CHESTER please call 911.

Vancouver Police are searching for a missing man with Alzheimer’s who was last seen near Chinatown this afternoon.

Seventy-eight-year-old Hing Law was last seen in the area of Main and Keefer Street around 3 p.m on July 20th, 2016.

Mr. Law likes to ride transit and regularly frequents Chinatown.

He is Asian, 5’4″ tall, has a heavy build, and is bald. He was wearing a beige baseball cap, a grey jacket, and navy blue Adidas pants. He had a small bandage on the left side of his face and was possibly carrying his wife’s black hand bag. He only speaks Cantonese.

Anyone who sees Hing Law is asked to call 9-1-1.

Burnaby RCMP is looking for missing Hugh McCann, 12 year old Asian male with Down Syndrome

Hugh was last seen at 12:45 Saturday July 16 2016 at his apartment near Nelson Ave and Dover St in Burnaby, in the Metrotown area. Cameras in his building indicate he may have gone east.

Hugh is 4’8″ slim, has short brown hair, and was last seen in a blue and black jacket with a hood and was wearing blue jeans. Hugh knows his name and phone number and may request help from strangers.

The BC Silver Alert believes he meets the criteria for a Silver Alert at this time.

Vancouver Police are searching for Dennis Arnold, a 71 year old a man with Dementia who is in need of his medication, and has not been seen since this morning.

 

Arnold left Vancouver General Hospital around 8 a.m. this morning, following an extended stay as a result of early-onset dementia.

Arnold is 6-foot-1, with short white hair, a beard and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and white t-shirt, black pants and black shoes, and was carrying a book.
