Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing elderly man with Alzheimer’s.
Seventy-eight-year-old Thai Lang Ly was last seen in the area of Main Street and East Broadway at about 3:00 this afternoon. He was out with his wife when he wandered off.
Mr. Ly is described as Asian, 5’6” tall with grey hair and brown eyes. He is not very mobile, walks with a cane, and was wearing a black and white jacket and a beige hat.
The missing man speaks Vietnamese and Cantonese and can be identified by a medical bracelet he wears.
A search of the area, as well as checks of local hospitals, transit and other police jurisdictions has failed to locate him.
Anyone who sees Thai Lang Ly is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and stay with him until officers arrive.

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing elderly man suffering from dementia and other medical conditions.
Seventy-year-old John Cook was last seen at 3:15 pm yesterday at his care home near East 22nd Avenue and Renfrew Street.
Mr. Cook is described as white, 5’07” tall, 170 lbs, with blue eyes and grey hair. He was wearing blue jeans, brown shoes, a long sleeve sky blue shirt with a Grouse mountain T-shirt underneath and a black fleece jacket.
John will continue to walk until he tires and will not be able to find his way back to his residence.
Anyone who sees John Cook is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately, ask for police and ambulance and keep an eye on him until officers arrive. Do not approach him as it is unknown how he will react to a stranger.

On May 10, 2016 at 3:29 p.m. the Salmon Arm RCMP received a report that 70 year old Christopher Allbury had not been seen since May 6th at 1:30 a.m. after being dropped off at his care home facility.
The care home staff and police are most concerned for Christopher’s well-being as he suffers from mental health issues and dementia.
Christopher is described as being 6’ 1 tall, weighing 160 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing pyjama bottoms and a shirt of unknown descriptors.
If you see Christopher please call 911.

Vancouver Police are searching for eighty-five-year-old Hua Hai Mai, who was last seen in the 1500 block of East 57th Avenue around 11 a.m.
He is Asian, 5’9″ tall, has a skinny build, and short black hair. He walks using a brown cane. He was likely wearing a black blazer, dress pants and white runners. Mr. Mai suffers from Dementia.
He likes to take transit and has a bus pass with his name, address and phone number on it on a lanyard around his neck.
Mr. Mai speaks Cantonese and does not speak English.
Anyone who sees Hua Hai Mai is asked to call 9-1-1.

Sixty-four-year-old Patricia Alsop suffers from Dementia and was last seen around 1 p.m. at her home in the 1200 block of Haro Street.
She is white, has a medium build, a dark brown ponytail, and she wears glasses. When last seen, she was wearing a black and white striped top and dark pants.
Patricia may have headed to her old home on Moberly Road near False Creek.
