Police are asking for the public’s help in finding an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s.
Shuang Fong Kuang became separated from the rest of her family while the group was attending the Vaisakhi parade today. She was last seen at about 4:00 p.m. near East 56th Avenue and Fraser Street.
Mrs. Kuang is described as Asian 4’10” tall, with short dark hair. She was wearing a red vest, a yellow and white striped long sleeve shirt with red stripes on the cuffs, black pants, a black hat and a neck chain with her name and phone number.
The missing woman is not from or familiar with the area and she may appear confused and disoriented. Police officers, Community Safety Officers and family members are conducting extensive area searches. Checks of local hospitals, transit, and other police jurisdictions have failed to turn up any signs.
If anyone sees Shuang Kuang, they are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and stay with her until officers arrive.
