Vancouver Police are asking for assistance to find an elderly West End resident who hasn’t been seen or heard from in more than 24 hours.
Michael Elson, 81, was last seen leaving his home near Burrard and Burnaby Street around 5 p.m. on July 16. He was supposed to catch a flight this morning, and was reported missing after a family member arrived to take him to the airport and discovered he wasn’t home.
Mr. Elson is forgetful and may have dementia. He likes to spend time at coffee shops and grocery stores in Vancouver’s West End. Police and his family are concerned for his well-being and want to quickly locate Mr. Elson so he can be returned home and reunited with his family.
Mr. Elson is white, about 5’10”, with a slim build and balding grey hair. He sometimes wears glasses.
Anyone who sees Mr. Elson is asked to call 9-1-1- immediately.
